Headquarters Island is completely private and surrounded by marsh and water. It has a country feel, but is only 15 minutes from downtown Charleston. Located off Maybank Highway near the Stono River bridge, the community has two parts: a condominium section and a gated detached-home section. The condos called Stono Watch, range from 1,500 1,700 square feet each having three bedrooms and three full baths. All units have marsh or pond views and range in price from $189,000 to $220,000. The detached home section is called Headquarters Planation and consist of custom built homes on large lots. Lots typically are priced between $100,000 to $250,000. All homes are elevated and most have drive-under garages. Homes for sale at this time range between 2,077 and 2,800 square feet are priced at $369,900 to $499,000.
